China Mobile Limited has issued its unaudited financial results in Hong Kong for the first quarter of 2008 ending March 31 and the company showed operating revenue hit CNY93.024 billion, up by 19.7% over the same period last year.

The company said it had a total subscriber base of 392.14 million, up from 369.34 million in the previous quarter ended December 31, 2007. However average revenue per user per month during this recent quarter was only CNY82, down from CNY91 in the last quarter. The company said that because many of its new users are from rural areas, coupled with adjustments for tariffs, overall ARPU had dropped.

EBITDA for the company reached CNY49.777 billion, representing an increase of 22.2% compared to the same period last year.
