An Internet copyright work commission has been formally unveiled in Shanghai.
So far, more than 20 backbone online video service providers in Shanghai have submitted applications for joining the commission, which serves as a branch of the Shanghai Copyright Protection Association.
According to a representative from SCPA, the Internet copyright work commission will set to solving copyright problems under the guidance of the government. It will assist member enterprises in setting up a unified copyright management rule to solve high risk copyright issues and help them increase their channels of acquiring video content. In addition, it will formulate a copyright law consulting team consisting of senior legal professionals from Shanghai to provide policy and constructive suggestions regarding the copyright issues of the city's online video industry.
