Microsoft To Set Up Technology Center In Quanzhou

Microsoft (MSFT) China has reached an agreement with Quanzhou Municipal Government and it will soon set up a technology center in Quanzhou.
The parties have reached consensus on three areas. First, they will work to speed up the construction of the Quanzhou Microsoft Technology Center and promote development of software and information service in Quanzhou. Second, Microsoft China will enter a strategic partnership with Quanzhou Municipal Government and help it with its informationization management. Third, they will strengthen their combined intellectual property rights protection systems and promote software outsourcing and talent training.
It is expected that the parties will sign a formal agreement in June 2008 and formally initiate their cooperation in July 2008.
