Huawei Forms Software Division

Chinese communications equipment provider Huawei has spun off its Application and Software Division into an independent business unit and named it Huawei Software.
The company, after achieving success in the Chinese domestic market, is trying to establish its foothold in the international market with the goal of becoming the world's leading provider of end-to-end software products and service solutions. Che Haiping, head of Huawei Software, said the company had set up Huawei Software just to reach this goal. He added that the flexible approach would help the company look into service convergence to assist operators transform their business operations.
In 2007, Huawei Software achieved a sales revenue of CNY1.4 billion, with about a third of that coming from the international market.
