China's fixed line operator China Telecommunications Corporation (CHA) has announced the acquisition of China United Telecommunications Co., Ltd.'s CDMA network.
China Telecom is the parent company of Hong Kong listed China Telecom Corp. Ltd., and China United Telecommunications Co., Ltd. is the parent company of China Unicom Ltd.
China Telecom will acquire China Unicom's CDMA network and related service for over CNY100 billion.
