Nokia Mobile Phone Battery May Cause Explosion

According to Hong Kong media, Nokia's (NOK) BP-6M battery, which is used on seven types of Nokia mobile phones, including N73, N93, 3250, 6233, 6280, 9300 and 9300i, may cause an explosion when charging.
Nokia China says that at the moment they can't judge whether the battery is the original battery of Nokia. And as of now, there has been no report of explosion of the battery in mainland China.
Nokia does not make batteries itself. Instead, it commissions OEMs to make original batteries, and it is unknown which OEM has made the said battery.
In August last year, Nokia recalled 46 million mobile phone batteries made by Panasonic and promised to exchange a new battery for consumers free of charge. However, some consumers quoted by local media complain that they have not yet received their new free batteries.
