Lenovo (LNVGY) and China Merchants Bank have jointly launched a ThinkPad credit card in Beijing.
As the first of its kind in China, the card provides many value-added services for cardholders, including gifts and interest-free progressive payments for those who purchase specified ThinkPad series computers. In addition, with the card, consumers can automatically obtain membership in Lenovo's ThinkWorld which offers them exclusive service of prior maintenance and a once-a-year free cleaning of a laptop computer.
Song Jingren, assistant general manager of China Merchants Bank Center, says that China Merchants Bank is fully confident in the co-branded credit card launched with Lenovo's influential brand of ThinkPad. Wang Fang, deputy general manager of the Business Division of Lenovo Greater China and Russia, told local media that the launch of the credit card is helpful for Lenovo to fulfill its commitment of bringing value to the consumers.
