Chinese video-sharing website Ku6.com, which won an online video license from the State Administration of Film, Radio and Television in June 2008, says it has completed its second round of funding.
The company has been vague in its statement on the amount of funds gained, saying only that it is "several tens of million of U.S. dollars", but it did say that the money came from UMC Capital, SBI, Itochu and Hotung Group. DFJ and DT China, two first-round investors, also increased their investment.
The Ku6 website was founded by Kevin Li, a former Sohu.com senior vice president and chief-editor, in June 2006. Ku6 says it has also signed a deal with CCTV.com for Olympic Games videos broadcasting rights.
