Guizhou TV Station has announced in a press conference that it opened a shopping channel called Jiayou Shopping Channel on July 25, 2008, marking Guizhou TV Station's entry into China's television direct sales retail sector.
As the consumption level is improved and the consumption concept is changed in China, TV shopping has become a market with great potential. On November 27, 2007, the State Administration of Radio Film and Television formally approved Guizhou TV Station's application for opening the Jiayou Shopping Channel and issued digital shopping channel certificate to the station.
As one of the four professional shopping channels in China, Jiayou Shopping Channel covers 154 cities, including all the cities in Guizhou Province, all the cities in Inner Mongolia, Tianjin, Zhengzhou, and Nanyang, and more than 50 million people in these cities will be able to watch the channle.
Located in Beijing, the first-stage project of the operating center of Jiayou Shopping Channel covers an area of 3,000 square meters with a 560 square meters professional studio and advanced program making and broadcasting equipment. The operating center imports the operation and management IT system from South Korea, owns a modern customer service center and a storage system that covers the whole country. All of these facilities will give powerful support to the management of shopping channel.
