According to the Intelligent Grouping and Resource Sharing Working Group, in a vote for the draft of the final standard by the International Organization for Standardization and the International Electrotechnical Commission, the Intelligent Grouping and Resource Sharing Standard of China has passed with a high support of 96% and it has formally become an international standard.
The core task for IGRS is to customize and promote the 3C collaborative standard, of which China owns the independent intellectual property rights. The IGRS overcomes compatibility problems between the drives, interfaces and network configurations, which realizes auto identification and wireless connection between computers, TV sets, projectors, digital cameras, mobile phones and other 3C products.
IGRS Standard is expected to be a basic and crucial standard for the future development of the information industry. After it is approved as an international standard, how to further integrate the industrial and innovative resources, launch more IGRS products and services and establish IGRS-based industrial chain and value chain become the key factors for the development of IGRS.
Founded in July 2003, the IGRS Working Group is a standards organization and industry alliance jointly established and promoted by companies, including Lenovo, TCL, Konka and Hisense, and the number of its members has since increased to 115.
