GigaMedia President Finds CFO Replacement

GigaMedia (GIGM) has hired Quincy Tang as the company's new chief financial officer, replacing Thomas Hui who has served as interim CFO since his promotion to president and chief operating officer in August 2007.
Tang joins GigaMedia from Vimicro International Corporation where he was also CFO. He previously served five years as finance director for TOM Group and seven years as an auditor at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu.
Tang graduated from Hong Kong Polytechnic University with a professional diploma in accountancy and is a fellow member of the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in the United Kingdom and an associate member of the Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries.
