Chinese wireless value-added services company KongZhong (KONG) says its Tian Jie Online game passed China Mobile's testing and was launched on China Mobile's Mobile Online Game Platform two days ago.
Tian Jie Online is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed by KongZhong Mammoth, which was acquired by the company in 2005. The game is free for players, but they are encouraged to pay for items within the game. Since its open testing in the third quarter of 2007, the company claims the game has accumulated over two million registered players.
China Mobile spent about one year developing its Mobile Online Game Platform in order to foster the growth of the mobile online game industry. Tian Jie Online is among the first three mobile online games to be running on China Mobile's Mobile Online Game Platform.
Three Kingdoms Online, another mobile online game developed by the Company, also passed China Mobile's testing and is expected to be launched on China Mobile's Mobile Online Game Platform before September 25, 2008.
