The chain convenience store group 7-Eleven has jointly announced with China UnionPay to launch a convenient financial service plan, providing China UnionPay's standard card users in Guangdong with a series of convenient payment services.

With this plan, the China UnionPay's standard card holders will be able to complete various payment activities through the smart card terminals fixed in the 7-Eleven stores. The terminals of China UnionPay can support such payment services as credit card payment, public utility payment, mobile phone replenishing, and the payment for online shopping.

These financial services will be offered to users for free, with the exception of the payments transferred to Alibaba's Alipay.

So far, the smart card terminals of China UnionPay have been installed in about 500 7-Eleven stores in Guangdong.
