Skyworth Digital Holdings Limited has published its TV sales report for September 2008, which states that 89% of the company's revenue was from China and the company plans to focus on the business operation in the Chinese market in the next few years.
According to the report, Skyworth sold 1.07 million TV sets in September 2008, a year-on-year increase of 22%. Of those sales, 712,000 were completed by its Chinese Color TV Business Department and 353,000 were completed by the overseas markets.
From April to September 2008, the company totally sold 4.99 million TV sets, a year-on-year increase of 39%. Of that total, 2.96 million were contributed by the Chinese Color TV Business Department and 2.03 million were contributed by the overseas markets, which completed 45% and 81%, respectively, of the company's goal for the entire year of 2008.
Because about 89% of the company's revenue was from China, Skyworth Digital has now decided that the company will continue to focus on its business operation in the Chinese market in the next few years rather than risk spending too much in the recession-inclined economies in Europe and North America.
