China Wireless Technologies Limited just announced that it entered into a further legally binding agreement on December 17, 2008 with eSurfing Telecom Terminal Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Telecom (CHA), to supply 100,000 CDMA terminal devices to eSurfing Telecom.
This is the second order from eSurfing Telecom this month after the first one placed on December 8, 2008, whereby China Wireless agreed to supply 100,000 terminal devices including four models. The second order involves 100,000 units of CoolPad N68 model, whose unit price is the highest in the China Telecom CDMA terminal tender.
China Telecom will become China Wireless' biggest client now that China Telecom has taken over the CDMA network from China Unicom. Talking about the two sales orders from China Telecom this month, Guo Deying, chairman of China Wireless stated, "We believe that the company's sales will benefit from the expanding client base as the reconstruction of telecommunication industry has been settled."
