Fujian Plans To Introduce Retired IT Talents From Taiwan

China's Fujian province has announced plans to welcome about 1,000 retired information technology talents from Taiwan, seeking intellectual support from the other side of the Taiwan Strait.
According to the plan, Fujian will work together with relevant government departments and technology industry parks in mainland China and cooperate with the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association and the Information Service Industry Association in Taiwan to attract experienced and healthy retired Taiwanese IT talents to work as technical directors, talent trainers and market developers in Fujian.
Lu Zengrong, director for the Fujian Information Technology Industry Department, says that Fujian is collecting talent demands information and dozens of enterprises have already registered.
Since 2008, the information technology industry of Fujian has maintained stable growth and the province is expected to achieve total sales of CNY310 billion in the IT sector in 2008, a year-on-year increase of 18.7%.
