The China Internet Illegal Information Reporting Centre has published a list of the second batch of websites which provide "vulgar" Internet content.
Among the 14 websites exposed, CIIRC says some websites, including Tom.com, Kongzhong.com, cnwest.com, baa.com.cn, 52pk.com, 17173.com, and the WAP website of Mozone.cn, have already cleared out most of their vulgar content and should be praised.
However websites like MSN China, hezon.com, gamersky.com, hucn.net, and 3g.pp.cn still need to work more by taking more effective measures, though they have already made some progress. But other websites, including myspace.cn and POCO, have been condemned by CIIRC for not taking measures to improve and they have been asked to thoroughly remove their inappropriate content as soon as possible.
Earlier this month, China launched a campaign against vulgar websites and first exposed 19 websites that spread pornography and vulgarity. Since last week, 91 websites have been asked to close for rectification.
