Hitachi Appoints Chairman For China

Information from the Tokyo headquarters of the Japanese electronics company Hitachi unveils that the company will appoint Nobuyuki Ohno as executive director and chairman of the board of directors of Hitachi China, effective from April 1, 2009.
Koushi Nagano, current executive director and Hitachi's general representative in China, will then return to Japan to command the international marketing business of Hitachi.
While Ohno used to work in financial and information departments, in China he will devoted to the corporate management of Hitachi.
Nobuyuki Ohno joined Hitachi in 1971 and was in charge of sales and marketing for Hitachi Information & Telecommunication Systems Group. In his new position, Ohno is expected to guide the Japanese company's expansion in the Chinese market.
