Eco-China Website Formally Launched

The National Forestation Commission, China Ministry of Forestry and China Green Foundation jointly held a press conference on the launch of the Eco-China Website at Eco.gov.cn during this year's Tree-planting Day.
In the meantime, the parties launched an initiative based on the objectives of China's eco-civilization campaign. They also set up an Eco-China Work Commission to hold events surrounding the Eco-China annual award, green outings and green citizenship to jumpstart the eco-civilization activities.
Zhou Youliang, vice chairman of China Green Foundation, said that the global environmental crisis has become even more serious and this is something that all people around the world should take seriously of. Zhou said that the Eco-China activities will play an important role in the realization of sustainable development and they hope that more organizations and individuals will join in this campaign via the website.
