American Open Source Software Firm Tackles China

U.S.-based commercial open source software firm SugarCRM has just named Yun-Ping Hsu as general manager of the company's China operations.
"Yun-Ping has over 20 years of experience in software management, and a proven track record of successfully building strong teams," said John Roberts, CEO of the customer relationship management company.
Hsu joined SugarCRM in 2005 as vice president of engineering. Before joining SugarCRM, Hsu was the vice president of engineering and worldwide support at BroadVision, and he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from National Taiwan University and a Master of Science degree in electrical and computer engineering from University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
SugarCRM established an engineering presence in Shanghai in 2006, and Hsu will be based in that cosmopolitan city. According to the company, its SugarCRM Chinese Language Pack has already been downloaded over 200,000 times since its creation in 2005.
