China Mobile will officially launch its mobile phone application online store in mid-August 2009 to encourage development and downloads of mobile phone software in China.
The online software store, which is named Mobile Market, is jointly constructed by ASPire Technologies, a Chinese wireless data service provider, and China Mobile Guangdong. It is operated by China Mobile's data department.
In this store, users can download mobile phone application software; software developers can entrust their products in a developer community; and the operator will classify and sell these entrusted products. China Mobile allows developers to submit all system software that is not included in the iPhone platform and will share the profits from the software with these developers.
According to the previous trial operation of Mobile Market, there are six sectors in the navigation bar of the online store, including game, theme, software, music, reading, and video.
