TCL's LCD TV Sales Up 57.7% In July 2009

    TCL Group has published its electronics and appliances sales report for July 2009.

    According to the report, the group sold 663,302 LCD TVs in July, a year-on-year increase of 57.7%; it sold 508,832 CRT TVs, a year-on-year decrease of 45.5%; and it sold 2,204,730 audio-visual products, a year-on-year increase of 25.5%.

    For the home appliances sector, the sales of TCL's air-conditioner products decreased by 4.58% to 82,115 in July; the sales of its refrigerators decreased by 17.26% to 68,947; and the sales of its washing machines decreased by 2.97% to 21,483.

    For mobile communication, the group sold 1,533,955 mobile phones during the month, increasing 24.8% compared with the same period of last year.
