TCL Group's LCD TV Sales Up 176.3% In August 2009

Chinese electronics and home appliances maker TCL Group has announced its sales statistics for August 2009.
According to the statistics, TCL Group sold 807,561 LCD TVs during the reporting period, a year-on-year increase of 176.3%; it sold 563,395 CRT TVs, a decrease of 39.1% over the previous year; and it sold 2,600,450 audio-visual products, a year-on-year increase of 49.8%.
For the home appliances sector, the sales of TCL's air-conditioner products increased by 82.89% year-on-year to 74,981; the sales of its refrigerators decreased by 17.51% year-on-year to 37,246; and the sales of its washing machines increased by 0.48% to 35,237.
For the mobile communications sector, the group sold 1,382,821 mobile phones in August 2009, an increase of 24.55% compared with the same period of last year.
