Shanghai Basic Software Industry Base, which is reportedly the first industrial park or technology zone of its kind in China, was established on September 24, 2009.
Located in Shanghai's Zhabei district, this base has attracted a batch of Chinese software enterprises, including China Standard Software, Shanghai Dameng, and TongTech, and their products cover operating systems, databases, and office software.
This new project is a joint effort of Shanghai Economic and Information Technology Committee and the government of Zhabei district to promote the high-tech industrialization of Shanghai.
According to the committee, under the cooperative agreement signed with the Zhabei government, it will provide enhanced support to the Zhabei district in areas such as project support, base construction, enterprise service, and preferential policy, to develop a successful model for the joint construction of city and district.
