Guangdong Unicom Helps With Digital Tourism

Guangdong Provincial Tourism Bureau and Guangdong Unicom have signed a strategic partnership agreement to boost the tourism development of Guangdong province.
Guangdong Unicom will assist the information technology construction of Guangdong's tourism sector making use of its advantages in information technology, networking and services. It will provide tourism enterprises in the province with basic communications and information services at a preferential price.
Furthermore, Guangdong Unicom will support Guangdong Provincial Tourism Bureau to build a leading travel information-based service platform, offering call center services and WCDMA-based "scenic spot online" services to the industry. Guangdong Unicom will build a 3G-based mobile recreation and travel network information system, and it will expand the publicity channels of Guangdong's National Recreation & Travel Card, which offers discounts for consumers.
