Guangdong To Establish Digital Publication Industry Alliance

According to Su Yi, director of digital publication management department of Administration of Press and Publication of Guangdong, the province will soon establish an alliance for the digital publishing industry.
Su revealed the news during the G3 Digital Publishing Summit jointly held by China Mobile Guangdong branch and Guangdong Provincial Publishing Group. He said the establishment of the new alliance will further promote the strategic cooperation of various links on the digital publishing industry chain.
Wang Guike, general manager for Guangdong Provincial Publishing Group, said that the group has set up an independent digital publishing company to integrate digital content resources and copyright resources of its publishers. Wang stated the company will implement commercial operation of new media, particularly e-books.
To improve the mobile reading experience of users, China Mobile will soon launch a G3 reader product based on the Chinese-grown TD-SCDMA technology.
