Gome Becomes 2010 World Expo's Home Appliances Sales Partner

Chinese home appliances and electronics retailer Gome has announced that it has signed a franchise license agreement with the 2010 Shanghai World Expo to become the authorized retailer of World Expo-related home appliances.
Under the agreement, Gome and its subsidiaries, including Yongle and Dazhong, will be allowed to sell World Expo-related licensed home appliances products, and all these products will be marked with the World Expo anti-counterfeit labels. At the same time, Gome gains the rights to organize manufacturers to make these licensed products in accordance to its demands.
Chen Xiao, chairman of president of Gome, told local media that these World Expo licensed products will be available in Gome's more than 1,200 retail stores in 300 cities around China. By serving the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, Gome will further optimize its quality inspection system, improve operation, and enhance service level whiling expanding sales.
The 2010 Shanghai World Expo will begin in May 2010.
