Beijing Tourism Administration has launched its WAP portal wap.visitbeijing.com.cn to offer a new information service channel to tourists.
From now on, users will be able to search for tourism information about Beijing via their mobile phone.
There are several columns on the portal including travel news, travel tips, 12301 tourism service hotline, tourist information center, 2010 Spring Festival week and interactive message boards. The boutique routes for day trips in Beijing are recommended on the portal, and also contents about how to choose routes, how to pick travel agencies, how to take a day trip and how to make complaints. In the future, there will be a voice guide system for some scenic spots.
However, currently there is only a Chinese version for the portal, but there will be foreign language versions including English, Japanese, and Korean in the future.
