Aliexpress.com, the newly launched Internet wholesale e-commerce subsidiary of the Chinese B2B e-commerce company Alibaba.com, and the international logistics giant UPS have recently formed a strategic alliance.
With the strategic alliance, Aliexpress.com will integrate UPS' delivery technologies to allow its e-commerce clients to enjoy online shipment management and tracing services.
David Wei, CEO of Alibaba.com, told local media that the company is committed to providing easy, safe, and convenient international trade services to both buyers and sellers. Therefore, the cooperation with UPS will play a key role in the success of Aliexpress.com. UPS' delivery technologies, easy-to-use functions, and reliable worldwide services will help Alibaba achieve business goals.
Jordan Colletta, vice president for UPS' worldwide marketing of e-commerce, said that UPS is committed to promoting the development of the Chinese e-commerce market and this is also a part of the company's overall market strategy. With the cooperation with Alibaba.com, UPS hopes to become a partner of small- and medium-sized enterprises in China to help them contact more buyers and sellers around the world while simplifying their logistic process.
