Chinese consumers seeking an easy way to purchase the new iPad or iPhone now have an easier path to part with their money.

Apple has launched the Apple Store in China, and the company now offers Chinese consumers an online method to purchase products.

"We are thrilled to open our newest online store in China," said Tim Cook, Apple's chief operating officer. "With personalized engraving, configure-to-order options and free shipping on everything, the Apple Store is a great destination for our customers in China."

Interestingly, Apple's press release for the online shopping destination in the Communist nation appears to refer to the Western Christmas holiday shopping season as it states: "Just in time for the holiday shopping season, signature gift wrap is available with the purchase of most Apple products including iPod, iPad and iPhone."
