LinkedIn China recently announced that Yu Zhiwei, former vice president of China HP, has joined the company as marketing vice president.
Yu will directly report to Shen Boyang, LinkedIn global vice president and China president.
According to Shen, LinkedIn China's executive team will continue to maintain its localization trend and its overall strength has been further enhanced. With the joining of Yu, LinkedIn China will accelerate business expansion, especially in the enterprise customer sector.
LinkedIn in China has recently received criticism outside of China for censoring and omitting content deemed illegal or problematic for the company in China. By censoring its content, the company is hoping its business interests in China override its users' access to reliable, truthful information.
Yu told local media that LinkedIn currently has nearly 200 enterprise customers in China. In the future, the company will help more enterprises hire great talents, establish good employer brands, successfully expand overseas businesses, and enhance in-depth communication of high-level talents in China and abroad.
Yu has an EMBA from Guanghua School of Management, Peking University. Before joining LinkedIn, Yu was China HP vice president and general manager of HP Greater China software group, leading strategy making and business expansion in the Greater China region.
