Skyworth, Guohong Communications, Dalian Daxian and Shenzhen Malata Mobile, who have all just received licenses to manufacture mobile phones in China, have formed a strategic alliance to ward off foreign competitors.

According to Le Yesheng, president of Skyworth, the four companies will combine their resources and create a new alliance brand to be marked on each of their respective products.

The four will also share after-sales services and soon implement unified procurement.

The companies plan to sign a complementary agreement setting all details of their cooperation on November 18.
