Online game operator The9 (NCTY) promises to take some corrective measures to compensate hundreds of players who have been enraged by the outage of the World of Warcraft and threatened to quit the game on March 15.

The9 explains in a written statement to the media that the game outage was caused by an overloaded server.

The9 apologized to the players, saying that it will contact the game developer to make an investigation and publish the result as soon as possible.

In addition, The9 agrees to compensate the players after evaluating any losses. According to a representative from The9, no player has directly contacted The9 on the issue and the company may launch a new server to balance the rising loads as a result of player increase.
