Samsung's Largest Overseas Mobile Phone Base Targets Tianjin

South Korean mobile phone manufacturer Samsung has invested a total of US$197 million in Tianjin since the beginning of this year to build its largest overseas mobile phone production and development base.

According to the Tianjin Municipal Business Commission, Samsung increased its investment in the base from US$29 million to US$197 million in January this year and added 17.7 million mobile phones to the current annual capacity of 24 million.

It is predicted that Samsung's new base will have an annual production capacity of 42 million mobile phones, bringing about US$4.6 billion sales revenue for the company each year.
