China Mobile (CHL) has issued a document to its service providers saying that it is going to launch its own instant communication software and will not add similar service provider services in the future.

China Mobile's new instant messaging software, which is called "Flying Messenger", has such functions as free short messages, voice chatting and mobile phone online matching. It is being put into trial use on China Mobile's Monternet.

According to China Mobile's notice, it will not only stop increasing service providers in the online chat sector, but it will also end the wireless services of existing service providers such as Tencent and Microsoft's MSN at the end of this year.

Analysts quoted in local media believe that with 300 million mobile phone users, China Mobile will exceed Tencent and MSN and become the largest IM provider in China after entering the instant communication market.
