With the opening of its first member conference in Guangzhou, Guangdong Provincial Youth Association for Network Development has been formally established.

More than 120 scholars from the Internet and network industry attended the meeting. Deng Xiaofeng, deputy general manager of China Telecom (Guangdong), was elected the chairman of the meeting, and 41 network experts, including Netease's Ding Lei, were elected as the first group of standing directors.

GPYAND says it will integrate the resources of more than 140 member companies and carry out green online surfing among youngsters. As a member of GPYAND, China Telecom (Guangdong) has taken a lead in offering green online surfing services, which the company says that parents can apply for by calling 10000 or going to their business halls so they can filter harmful online content at home.
