Konka Group, China's first Sino-foreign joint consumer electronics enterprise, has published its financial report for the third quarter of 2009.

Chinese television maker Konka has announced plans to invest CNY886 million to build a LCD module plant in Kunshan, Jiangsu province.

To increase its competitiveness in the Chinese LCD TV sector and to raise the profitability of its LCD TV sets, Konka has decided to invest CNY886 million to set up an LCD module company to develop the LCD module lines.

According to the statistics of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, from January to June 2008, the total output of television sets in China was 39.81 million, a year-on-year increase of 14% compared with the 34.936 million produced in the same period of 2007.
