Hutchison Telecommunications International has announced that its parent company Hutchison Whampoa, the Hong Kong-headquartered innovation and technology corporation, plans to acquire additional shares of the company from minority shareholders to enhance its control over the subsidiary.

Hong Kong's Hutchison Telecommunications International Limited has announced the successful spin-off and listing of the company's Hong Kong and Macau operations on the main board of the Hong Kong stock exchange.

Hutchison Telecommunications announced its unaudited key performance indicators for the quarter ended March 31, 2008 and said consolidated profit attributable to equity holders of the company was HK$310 million for the quarter, compared with a loss of HK$236 million for the same period last year.
