The Korea Industrial Technology Foundation (KITF) announced recently that Korea's industrial technology is estimated to be 6.3 years ahead of China's, but in 2010, the gap is likely to be only three years.
The KITF's study of the relative quality and technological competitiveness between the two countries showed that the ratio of 87 to 68 between Korea and China (with 100 for advanced countries) is likely to shrink to 99 to 90 in 2010. The research focused on about 30 core components, including computer chips, construction equipment and digital home appliance products.
