Honeywell Raises China Polyester Capacity

January 29, 2004
Business

Honeywell announced today it will double its dimensionally stable polyester (DSP) production in Kaiping, China, to meet growing demand for its products and services in the Asian marketplace.

The added capacity will produce the latest generations of Honeywell's DSP fibers for tire reinforcement and other end uses. Honeywell is the leading supplier of high modulus, low shrinkage polyester in China.

Honeywell's DSP yarns and fabrics manufactured in Kaiping are used in a wide range of industrial and consumer applications that demand high performance reinforcement, including tires, hoses and mechanical belts. The plant expansion is expected to be complete by late 2004.
