CommVerge Solutions Wins China Telecom Optical Project

China Telecom (USA) has signed a contract with CommVerge Solutions for the deployment of optical transport systems to enhance China Telecom's existing core network's connection to the United States.

With nodes already installed to connect China Telecom (USA)'s customers in several U.S. cities, the Optical Transport solution will help China Telecom (USA) provide faster and easier access to its network. China Telecom (USA) will also be able to offer new voice and data service to their existing customers, and to attract additional ones by offering a wider range of advanced services to existing and potential customers.

The project commissioned CommVerge Solutions to deploy Cisco ONS 15454 equipment across the U.S. In addition to network integration and provisioning services, CommVerge Solutions will also provide training to China Telecom (USA)'s engineers.
