Tripath Chosen By TCL For Plasma TVs

Tripath Technology Inc., creators of Digital Power Processing (DPP) technology and Class-T advanced 1-bit digital audio amplifiers, announced today that its TA2024 will power TCL's new line of Plasma TVs.

The Tripath Class-T TA2024 digital audio amplifier, producing 10 Watts of stereo sound, is featured in TCL's latest Plasma TV line, which includes 40-inch and 42-inch PDP TVs. TCL's planned 50-inch model will also feature Tripath's TA2024.

Tripath's Class-T 1-bit digital audio amplifiers are currently integrated in flat panel display products of other leading OEMs such as; Hitachi, Fujitsu General, JVC, Samsung, Sanyo, Sharp, Sony and Toshiba. Tripath's advanced 1-bit digital audio amplifiers rely on a fundamentally new approach to amplifier design utilizing semiconductor-based amplifiers that provide significant performance, power efficiency, size, weight and cost advantages over traditional amplifier technology.
