Vyyo Inc., a global supplier of wireless broadband end-to-end solutions for telephony and high-speed data connections, announced that China Netcom Corporation Limited (China Netcom) has deployed Vyyo's solutions in Xining, the capital city of QingHai province.

Wuhan Research Institute (WRI) served as the system integrator. Xining has an area of 7.7 thousand square kilometers and a population of over one million.

"China Netcom has commercially deployed our solutions in Xining for general business applications and use in voice cafes," stated Michael Corwin, president and chief operating officer of Vyyo. "We also recently announced that China Railcom has deployed our solutions in Xining. Each additional deployment of our wireless broadband solutions increases our penetration into the large Chinese market."
