Michel Mayer, President and CEO of Freescale, the largest communications chip provider, which recently separated from Motorola, reiterated yesterday in Beijing that he would continue Motorola's commitment to investing and expanding in the Chinese market, and would assist in the development of China's 3G standard TD-SCDMA.
Mayer announced that Datang, a supporter of TD-SCDMA, has determined to adopt Freescale's chips, while mobile phone manufacturers including Huawei, ZET, TCL and Dongxin have also become clients.
