The Agricultural Bank of China (ABC) has deployed Linux-based NTAVO thin-client terminals throughout its China offices and branches.
The NTAVO thin-client was selected in order to provide ABC with freedom from Windows' security concerns and an adherence to open standards. The NTAVO terminal deployment enables ABC's remote branches to securely access financial information from central data repositories, consolidate management of IT resources, and leverages their existing investments in hardware, software and network infrastructure.
The NTAVO 6010 Terminal is a mini form-factor PC, containing an optimized Red Hat Linux distribution. Using the "Server Centric Computing" approach to enterprise information access, the NTAVO Terminal reduces the cost of support by centralizing management.
