Ten top Skyworth executives, including chairperson Mr. Huang Hongsheng, three executive directors, the financial controller, and a former director were arrested in Hong Kong for embezzlement.

Huang is suspected of bribing a former accountant to make false accounting books for the company. The other executives are suspected of aiding Huang to hide the illegal activities.

As a result of the arrest, the trading of the company's stock has been suspended in Hong Kong. The company has issued a statement saying that normal operations and marketing activities within the business are proceeding as normal, and current executives are cooperating with the investigation.

Skyworth manufactures flat panel displays, computer monitors, DVD players, and other consumer electronics.
