1Pai Lowers Risks With Third Party Escrow Tool

January 17, 2005
Internet

1Pai.com, a major online auction operator in China, has installed a new service it hopes will encourage more transparency and safety for online transactions.

The new service is called ePaitong, and places third parties as credit agents. This helps traders retain payments in an escrow account before goods reach buyers.

In general, though the online auction market is growing in China, it is still very provincial and netizens' use of the platforms varies widely among cities.
