Law & Policy

Chinese online service provider 3721, which was acquired by Yahoo (YHOO) fourteen months ago, is being sued by Beijing Xinli Huaxia Network Technology Company for trademark infringement.

Xinli claims 3721 has violated its trademark rights to the phrases "Zhaopin", "Zhaopinwang", "Rencai", "Rencaiwang", "Qiuzhi" and "Qiuzhiwang" by using them for sales purposes.

Xinli requests that 3721 stop using the marks immediately and pay CNY10000 as compensation.

The case is currently being processed at Beijing's Chaoyang People's Court.
