Telecom & Wireless

Beijing Unicom announced that between January 26 and February 2, users of its GSM and CDMA network who have more than CNY1000 surplus in their account are eligible to apply for international roaming and international call service.

Beijing Unicom says that the validity period for the service can be extended to February 12 for prepaid users of the two networks.

Ruyitong users and prepaid CDMA users of Gnet, however, are not included in the service.

Consumers can register for the service by calling 10010 or by going to one of Beijing Unicom's business centers.
