ZTE has won the bidding for China Telecom's Shanghai International Traffic Hub and will be an exclusive provider of the necessary NGN equipment.

ZTE says during the bid process, its NGN products passed all 12 categories and more than 200 sub-class tests and ranked first among all the candidates. In addition, its fixed network 3G solution based on NGN proved to be successful.

According to ZTE's representative Huang Dabin, ZTE's NGN equipment can support many different domestic orders including TUP and ISUP, and it especially works well with C5 order and ANSI ISUP.

ZTE previously completed the DC1 project of China Telecom's long-distance convergence project.
